Writing Heatmaps

One of the stupidest reasons why I started writing again? Writing heatmaps.

Nathan, the founder of Lex, recently shipped the equivalent of the Github heatmap showing you how many new code entries you’ve pushed to production, but for writing instead.

It’s something super simple, but just the thought of writing for an entire year, looking back, and seeing all of the days you’ve written is really cool.

Similarly to how Peter Levels tweeted out his github heatmap when people said “he’s just lucky.” Instead, you can actually see all the coding he’s been doing, which makes sense why he’s so successful.

Not sure how long this boost of motivation will last, but I’m loving it so far.
